Yesterday, I did get the bathrooms painted, the kitchen and the laundry room almost completed. We ran out of paint or we would have stayed until we were done. So the first order of business will be going to get more paint. The second will be getting the slight repair work done in the master bathroom, so I can paint over it.
I have the big closet to do and #3 has the ceilings in one bedroom, the laundry room, a portion of the kitchen, and then the master bath and closet. After that it will be all trim, touch up work and I really believe that if I can just get my body to kick into gear one more day, we can get the job done by the close of this one. If that is the case, we will have done it in one day less than I had anticipated. I am really pushing to finish this part of the project up.
If Hubby is available, I am going to have him start prepping the outside today so we can get the outside painted this week. That will be a breeze compared to inside, minus the fire ants and the complications from the sand sticking to everything it touches. Still that should be a piece of cakes compared to louvre closet doors. And with stucco, one will never notice a run in the corner.
We have run into a problem with our plans for the floor. We probably are not going to be able to stain the concrete not without a serious buffing machine. Hubby called a man yesterday for estimates about carpet and vinyl. Let’s just say, I was less than impressed with the whole process and I expect the cost is going to come back way more than what needs to be spent. But he did introduce a product that I have not seen before (yes, I do still live in the last century) something called plank vinyl. It might be an affordable option if we do it ourselves. I have more research to do…
Hubby spent almost all of yesterday working on cow pens. It took some doing but the it is now in working order. The first order of business on that front is getting the cow milked out. The calf was still okay yesterday and Hubby said the cow herself might have looked a little less swollen. She had stayed with the herd and the calf was with her so that is all good signs that everything was okay. The calf must have been getting some milk although it surely must have been like sips through a small straw by the looks of that sore utter.
I am off to the store for paint and some veggies. (The painters are out of food…)
