The missing blog posts have been partly due to the fact that my computer was down for a couple of weeks and also that I have been feeling a bit down as well.
BUT Dad is doing terrific. The stint procedure went extremely well although it took about three hours longer than was anticipated. The wound on the leg has begun to heal and overall, he seems to be feeling better all over. He has needed less and less help getting out of bed in the mornings although there still is a frequent need to help get him off the toilet. (Hubby says that is because the toilet needs to have the riser seat put on it for him but since Mom is so short…, well, you can kind of guess the conflict that would cause….) Dad has gone back to reading some and just overall, he seems to be a bit better than before this….more blood flow through the leg has helped him all over!!
I’ve been feeling rather cruddy. I have started trying to work on detoxing fungal mess out of my body and that is going pretty slowly because it does make me feel bad. Today, I feel about as lousy as I can without saying I am going back to bed.
The good news is that the third daughter does not seem to be having any problem with the mold detox and so we are hoping she will move right on through the process with glowing results. Mid-kid has been having all kinds of problems and hasn’t even started the mycotoxin removal protocol yet. She has just not felt well for weeks and with the past few days has experienced an episode of Lyme meningitis. (It is not as severe as it used to be so she isn’t going backwards.) The oldest daughter, has been pushing her protocol pretty hard and I believe has about hit her plateau and needs to level off for a while. The three of them are out of town for a wedding this weekend and so we will see how well she fairs from the road trip and the nights sleeping in a strange location.
Speaking of weddings, #1 is getting married toward the end of April. It really is not the best time of year for something like that around here, but better than the groom’s original request date toward the end of May. (We open our farmers market season the first weekend of May!) Details are still being batted around and nothing is written in stone at this point. More than likely something pink will be part of the affair because she has always loved pink. And the gown arrives tomorrow… I will refrain from any comments until we actually see it.
I have doubts in the middle of my days as to whether or not I (and the rest of the family) are actually up to planning and getting ready for a wedding in such a short time. The wedding fund went into healthcare last year so what we might have planned a year ago has been spent, and that limits us to what we can scrounge, beg, and borrow. I am a good scrounger although not a very good beggar. I am a good party planner so that part is easy. But it is hard for me to ask others to loan me something or to even help out. Perhaps this is the time and place for me to understand that the reception isn’t about the glitter but about the celebration of the couple and the fellowship that goes on around them. And from what I have heard, I suspect there will be quite a bit of that!
