He has been hallucinating the entire time we have been here. He knows us but conversations are around his thoughts that don’t quite square with reality. It might be medicine. We know that he is getting Norco and today they introduced a low dose of Cymbalta to see if it would help his apathy.
On Monday, if the hip continues to stay in place, he will be moved to the rehab near us. This will make things easier for us. This is a fabulous hospital with a great nursing staff but it is almost two hours from home. Four hours a day has been spent on the road all this week…
On a different note, our oldest daughter turned 26 yesterday. The past two weeks she has had more days of not feeling well than well. Yesterday she felt pretty good, but the day before she did not. We had her birthday dinner at lunch today—shrimp. I am afraid it was not and exciting birthday but she knows that she is loved.
