I sort of feel like I worked hard today. I started the day out helping move the rangers. Well, I didn’t help much, I more or less held the camera and stood around and watched. It is always fun to watch my daughter herd chickens! I think these birds are kind of ugly, but they look like they are going to be big birds with long legs. And that is what matters!!
I had to take a break after I got this large bed made because the heat had me feeling a bit fatigued…so I went in to drink some of last year’s tomato juice and cool off while the middle daughter continued to worked on weeding the melon patch. It looks like we may have to reseed some melons….the rows being a bit patchy in some spots.
After a short rest, I then went out and weeded a green bean row….it took a bit longer than usual because I put the grass in a bucket and hauled it out of the field. This is the most effective way to control grass during a rainy season like this.
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate having my sister-in-law here to help take care of her dad.
Hubby is doing some slate roof work for a neighbor.
Life is not overly exciting around here. Mom cut my Dad’s hair today. The girls had to help him transfer from the regular chair back to the wheel chair after that…
The grass grows and life is good.
