The white PVC triangular run is going to be moved and rebuilt for the new meat birds that are scheduled to arrive next week.
Because we have such a problem with hawks we decided that a moveable bird net over the top of the paddock being used would be helpful. If you look closely you can see it on the first paddock. Those PVC brackets lift off and move over to the next paddock. It is not quite as labor free as we wanted but we were trying not to spend any more money.
The original plans did not include the walkway on the north side but Hubby had a bit of extra PVC and decided it would make the chore of maintaining the whole arrangement easier if one could walk upright instead of having to walk hunkered over. We all agree that this walkway makes chicken herding easier.
Our darling daughter wanted her Daddy to rebuild his original winter coop from two years ago. She wanted a stand up roof instead of having to always lean over to collect eggs and to clean out the coop. So off came the old wire and tin roof and water proof tarps. And up went the new roof.
