This week we did another overnight trip to the Lyme doctor. This time we took the second daughter and perhaps did a bit more information gathering.
Darling Daughter #2 has a major blood draw to do and will begin on her protocol as soon as it arrives. Because she is not as ill as the oldest we are hopeful that it will not be as difficult to get rid of the little critters.
How is the oldest doing? How does one know with spirochettes? They have a 27 day life cycle, so you kill some and then some more grow...to win the battle you must kill off more than what grows. That is what it is all about. A slow and steady killing process helping the body detox the dead stuff without overloading the lymph glands or the liver. After she began her new protocol she went through about a month of feeling pretty lousy. Of late, I would say she has some good days and some bad ones. Not a lot of consistent good days in a row.
On our way home from the doctor we stopped at a place called Jungle Jim’s. I read about it years ago in the Smithsonian Magazine. It was like shopping in the commissary in all of the various places we have lived plus more. While the name seems kind of hokey and it has the appearance of a tourist trap, it really was a fun experience with affordable prices. We came away with some great stuff!
Then we had a filling salad at Bob Evans and finally headed toward home. We opted to continue on our journey taking a more direct route instead of the faster interstate trip. We meandered up a back country highway and drove through an old town that used to be part of a canal system.
