It is very difficult for me "stay down"...and I have not totally, every few minutes I pop up to do a bit of this and that. And I have not wasted the "resting time" by being idle. I have been studying bokashi, a means of composting/fermenting for our winter months. We are in the process of building up worm beds but I also wanted a different system as well. Then I found out that the worms will finish off the bokashi compost--that makes it a win/win situation!!!
Bokashi is not like traditional composting where the process involves rotting down...instead it is fermenting. I am big into fermenting....fermented veggies, yogurt, kefir, kombucha, beer, wine--why not compost? One can't just jump up and do it...otherwise I wouldn't be here at the moment. There is a bit of prep work and I am still researching and learning. Being that money is really tight right now (it is costly to treat Lyme and all the little buddies that go with it) I was trying to figure out how I could do this without having to buy my inoculate from someone else. I've got some theories to work on....As soon as Hubby gets back I am going to introduce him to Bokashi! Healthy microbes make healthy soil, which helps to make healthy people! The study of microbes in the dirt is becoming a very real topic of interest to me.
Hubby took my dad to the oncologist at the VA today. He is required to go every three months in order to get his medicine renewed. Dad went to the local oncologist last week (maybe it was two weeks ago) and got a stable report. For this we continue to be thankful.
The other Dad is sleeping in his chair. He has been some what more "here" today, which is an improvement and his wheezing noise has not been as bad the past couple of days. He still has some swelling in his hand but overall he is much better.
