The number of people I've been cooking for. It was the 6 of us...and then three went away for the weekend but two came to visit..and then the three came back...but then the two that came to visit took one with them so I am back to five!
My life revolves around meals. As a family that is working toward gut health meals are not the usual fare as in most homes. So it should not seem odd to me to stop at some point today to count how many tummies I was trying to satisfy. The past few days caught up to me today and I think I am back on schedule at least until the one comes home.
The eldest went to visit dear friends. They borrowed her for a while and I hope that their visit will be a good one.
I have had some bad days. My hearing comes and goes, which is better than being gone all the time and I am getting accustom to the roaring in my ears. (The low moan of big equipment off in the distance throbbing in my ears). I did manage to piddle around a bit today. I got very little done, but a little bit counts.
I did spend some time with my parents today just "visiting" which is nice. Dad seems to be doing a bit better--surprising what nutrition will do for the grumpies and the clarity of his brain. And I am sure that the shot to elevate his blood levels didn't hurt either! I actually had a good private conversation with him for a few moments and that is something I appreciate.
Hubby got the last of their new carpet put down today. And of course the first contention is Mom wants to put rugs down to keep it clean. Dad can not maneuver a rug in the wheelchair BUT worse than that Mom has NO business trying to live with a throw rug. She will run up against a brick wall from me if she tries to put down rugs. I did tell her that I would try and find something that might be appropriate under the table.
So I am off to find something that might work to keep the carpet clean......
