We continue to discuss with the doctor the complication of mold in all of this. We have assured her that we are working on getting this area taken care of….the next major issue is to get the carpet out of our kitchen. (Momma loved her carpet in her kitchens...) The doctor suggested we just roll it up and get it out but I explained that it is glued down with rubber backing…and that it was not as simple as just taking it up but it had to be scraped off the floor. This job is slated to be done this summer but life also revolves around this much needed job…in the spring we look most to our farmers market and market garden concerns with everything else taking second fiddle….
In the meantime, we are in the process of replacing old house unit filters with new HEPA filters and purchasing at least one smaller room size air filtering units for the oldest daughter who has more mold indicators in her blood work than the others.
Add into the fact that everyone in the family has about two or three good days a week when they feel like working and not all on the same days, life can get interesting around here. We are thankful for those good days. A year ago, there was only one of us that was having three good days a week and that was me. Yes, there is improvement around here. Maybe by this time next year some of us will have 5-7 good days a week. Some of us can see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel...
At this point I am most concerned about Mid-Kid. Even this morning, she is down again with a meningitis event. The doctor has begun to treat her for dengue fever to see if this helps with these random bouts of meningitis.
There is a lot more I could talk about this but it is already Tuesday and I have my first Farmer’s Market this coming Friday and I am nowhere near ready…trying to play catch up is not the best way to begin the season. I am going to try to really get caught up this week.
I’ll try to let ya know how that goes.
