If I am able to complete this post, I will consider it a major accomplishment. If the prepositional phrases are all mixed up, just please overlook it.
Daughter #3 is now officially being treated for Lyme. Like we expected, the doctor changed her protocol to match that of her sisters. She will begin that change tomorrow. It is hard to guess whether she will have any problems with it or not. If I were going to guess, I’d say that she may have problems with it. She has been so very tired and today hardly been able to function other than ride in the car and sit in the chair. (I think she would have preferred to be lying in bed.) The doctor confirmed that right now rest and not pushing herself is the best thing for her. While she has had some minor improvements over the past few months, over all she has not gained much ground.
Today we went to get her 14 vials of blood drawn. It took forever, not because she had biofilm like her oldest sister (her first blood draw took almost two hours for 21 vials), the bloodletting part only lasted a few minutes but the staff at the lab had to find the codes for all of the tests. It seems that a couple of weeks ago, something changed in the system so they had to look up all the codes.
Prior to going to the lab, we had to go get new military ID cards so that #3 would have proof of insurance. She is still on her Daddy’s insurance, and while she was still in the system, we needed to go renew our ID’s and this was the best excuse ever for making that trip happen. Except we had to make it happen twice….things have changed and we needed some paperwork…so we had to come home and get it, then return. The last time we had cards made at this facility they were so dark you could hardly see the face….this time they are almost too white to see the face. Not quite sure why they can’t get a decent printer to do the job. I have had several cards made over the years and the two I have had done here have both been horrible in quality, while all the others were good quality. I could make some inter-service rivalry joke but will refrain.
The day was almost totally spent achieving these two goals.
Curious about what happened to the car in the adjoining state? (Previous post) Hubby came over and drove it home on the back roads. So long as he kept his speed down under 60 he didn’t have much problem. He then spent the afternoon fixing the problem. He saved us several hundred dollars by coming to my rescue.
The wind is blowing here tonight…while it seems strange, I have always found the sound of a good wind comforting to sleep to…so with that thought I am off to bed soon.
