We did not get the job completely finished. I think I will be able to get it finished up without a lot more help today. That way Hubby can move on to the bigger job of taking off the old roofing on the Honey House so that early next week he can put the new stuff on.
I decided last night that I would not start on the next phase of the cleaning in the Honey House until next week. I need to take a day or two and shift gears, give myself a rest mentally from sorting and disposing to just cleaning and then relaxing a bit. So my plan is to finish the attic spend some time straightening up the house—it rather looks like a train wreck at the moment as stuff has been sorted out and left in piles in the house….plus piles of clean laundry that are in various stages of being put away. (While the de-humidifier makes a world of difference after three summers, there was a LOT of musty smelling stuff that needed to be washed.)
After that, I am taking #3 on an outing. We will drop off our bags of stuff at the thrift stores and then I am on a mission to find a particular item at the downtown antique stores for a young friend of mine. My body and my mind both feel like they need a rest and this shifting in gears to shop for a gift seems like just the break that I need. I also want to spend some time with my youngest daughter who faithfully takes care of us. We have tried as much as possible to hold up to our end of the bargain, to let her study (although I know the distractions are there simply being in her other home with so much going on around her) and she has been faithful about cooking and cleaning up after us in the kitchen.
On the Lyme front, #3 tells me that she has had something like a spastic ear canal problem that has popped up several times this week. Hubby says he has had that too in the past. It sounds horribly distracting and once it starts it seems to go on and on. She tells me it will start when she lies down but won’t stop if she sits up. But then this goes along with her symptoms. She has not had full blown Bell Palsy but she has had a LOT of face twitching. So this spastic ear issue seems to go along with her other neuro-Lyme symptoms.
Well, everyone has finally crawled out of bed so it is time for me to go get dressed and think about the agenda for today.
By the way, Happy Valentines Day!!!
