I have not felt very well this week, that partly explains why I have not posted for days on end. I have actually done very little other than just managing with the basics. I started new bug killers a week ago and evidently they are working because I am having reactions to the change. (that is a good thing in the long run) I am mostly just feeling fatigued with a lot of brain fog with some odd random pains here and there. The ringing in my ears perhaps is not worse but more noticeable due to the brain fog (not so easily distracted by coherent thinking, conversation, and other distractions we usually take for normal.)
I have spent some time this week doing more research on Lyme. More and more articles.... I came across something that I already knew but not so clearly proven or stated and that is that borrelia burgdorferi can be sexually transmitted--like its cousin syphilis. If you care to read the article you can find it here.
And in case you missed it back in December there is a new tick borne virus called the Bourbon Virus that might be another menace. It just kills you.
And knowing that my oldest contracted the German version of this disease...I found this very interesting. I found the following statement encouraging, not because that many people are sick but because the German government is taking it seriously and because their health insurance is paying the bills. "The German Borreliosis Society and Dr Armin Schwartzbach have told me that One Million New cases of Lyme borreliosis were recorded for residents of Germany, based on public data released from Payments by German Health insurance companies for calendar year 2012." I found that data here.
Oh yes, the cheery information that Lyme can be passed along by blood transfusion. It rather makes sense does it not? Stuff in the blood.
Shifting gears to something else. I have managed to get a few more photos scanned. The older Polaroids scan beautifully..the newer ones have such poor resolution that honestly, I have had to wonder if it is worth my effort. But I have found a few that possibly might be fit to put up. They are random picking and not in chronological order.
This one I had to adjust it and still the color is off but I so liked it. This was my Hubby's parents. Their marriage, like all others, was not without tiffs but one thing I have noticed that in almost every photos they were affectionate.
